Raised in Plauchéville.
Graduated from Tulane Law School (N.O.) in 1899.
Worked in the Attorney General's Office in Marksville.
Moved to Lake Charles, Calcasieu, LA in 1902, where he set up his first law firm in the Chavanne Building (on the corner of Broad and Ryan).
In 1920, set up the law firm of Plauché & Plauché with Vance Gabriel Plauché.
