MARRIAGE: From "Old Families of Louisiana", Published 1931, New Orleans, LA (courtesy of Randy DeCuir): "On the eighth day of February, 1765, Etienne Henri Plauche married Marguerite Selam in New Orleans. He was the son of Etienne Plauche and Madelaine Vaderache (or Vaderoche or Vaderaze). The bride was a daughter of Jacques Selam and Marie Magdeline Golem (or, possibly, Colure), early settlers who came to the colony on one of John Law's ships. She was born November 6, 1750, and died June 8, 1818, at the age of sixty-eight."
