BIOGRAPHY: James died childless, so he left all of his property to his
nephew, also named James (born March 1, 1773), on condition that this
young man would live on the farm and care for his widowed Aunt Sarah.
(This nephew was a son of James' brother Andrew.)
There is an ancient log building that has been used for years as a barn
on the site of the original farm.
