BIOGRAPHY: "A beloved citizen of Tupelo. Attended the Verona school and Mississippi State College for Women (MSCW) before entering the teaching profession. After teaching school at Meridian for several years, became registrar at MSCW, a post she held for many years. While in Columbus, she took an active part in behalf of the Palmer Orphanage. Was a member of the DAR. Was long prominent in the activities of the college."

DEATH: Died at the home of her sister, Mrs. O. B. Rogers, where she resided in Tupelo. She was 83. Funeral service at the First Presbytarian Church, of which she was a member. Her husband preceded her in death.
