DEATH: Moore Samuel Plauché, an industrial engineer at DynMcDermott Petroleum, died Tuesday of complications from diabetes at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond. He was 58. Mr. Plauché was born in Baton Rouge and lived in Abita Springs for the past 37 years. He was a graduate of Redemptorist High School in Baton Rouge and Louisiana State University. He worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 18 years. Survivors include his wife, Sandra Plauché; three daughters, Catherine Farrar, Monique Melancon and Andrée Connolle; two brothers, Neil and Terry Plauché; and two grandchildren. A Mass will be said today at noon at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 4921 W. Metairie Blvd., Metairie.
